Thanksgiving, the very American holiday which was developed to give thanks
to God for all his many blessings is still observed today in the United States
but has developed into a much different event. Today, most of the so called
'Holiday', which is short for 'Holy Day', is spent focused on food, family and
football. In spite of this, many in America do give thanks to God on
Thanksgiving, and for some, it is the only time of the year that they give
thanks at all.
The Liberation Diet Book and our adjoining Liberation Wellness movement
encourages giving thanks at every meal. If we eat less often, eating becomes
more special, and we hope to some more spiritual. It is a reminder that God is faithfully
feeding us and providing for us every day of our lives, and bringing this fact
into mind is very healthy indeed. God Himself in the Bible emphasizes giving
thanks when we eat to sanctify the meal.
As the economy in America gets worse and worse, we should start appreciating
more and more the food, clothing and shelter that we have received continually,
and we can be thankful for this economic downturn as well, as we realize how
dependent we are on Him and His kindness every day.
Give thanks at every meal, and you will soon discover you have an integrated
opportunity to pray in our busy life, stress is reduced, and health is
improved. Gods’ recommendations involving food are always right, and giving thanks
at every meal is just one way to improve the quality of your life!

The Blockbuster movie 2012 is a huge hit in theaters, and when you think
about the behaviour of mankind in these days, as millions are destroyed from a
food, medical and government three-headed monster that promotes toxic food and remedies
that create more disease, when we think about the millions of babies murdered
for convenience, we can have some inkling that judgment day is not too far
away. Here is a story from a Jamaican newspaper about a real end-time scenario...
WORLD WILL END IN 2011? - US church group
predicts judgment -
Jamaicans not convinced If we are to believe the words of Family Radio, a
non-profit organization based in California in the United States, the world as
we know it will come to an end May 21, 2011. The non-denomination Christian
organisation with its headquarters in Oakland, California, has been making a
worldwide effort to warn people that the coming of Christ is closer than they
may think. Representatives from the organisation recently visited the island
handing out tracts, warning of the impending disaster which is to befall the
earth in 2011. Read

Understanding Fats
Loving fat is easy for me now, but it didn’t start out that way.
In my younger days, I consciously chose low fat items over its fattier competitors. My choices were based on numbers (quantity) rather than content (quality). It turns out, low-fat is full of itself.
Jeff Novick, MS, RD, of the McDougall Program destroys the myth that the US ever went on a "low fat" diet. As a former account manager at Kraft Foods, he blows the lid off the deceptive tricks corporate food companies use in order to make (false) claims that their foods are "healthy" or "low-fat."
This is an excerpt from Novick's full 80-minute talk at the VegSource 2007 Healthy Lifestyle Expo, which is one of a 12-part series of top health expert presentations. In his fascinating and entertaining presentation, Novick reveals the intentional label deceptions nearly every food company employs, and shows you "how they do that."

Fats Don't Make You Fat
The wrong types of fats contribute to obesity, but it's a generalization to say that fats make you fat. It’s important to understand differences in fats, which ones to include in your diet and which ones to cut out.
The nominees for “Best Source of Fat from a Tree” are: avocados, olives, coconuts, and nuts (almond, walnut, macadamia, cashew, brazil, pistachios).
AVOCADOS

Avocados have endured a bad reputation for being full of fat. It’s true that one medium sized avocado has 30 grams of fat, enough to put it on the avocaDON’T list. However, it is mainly mono-saturated fat, which is the heart-healthy kind of fat you want. They are also loaded with fiber, vitamins B6, C, and E, potassium, magnesium and folate. In fact, they contain 60% more potassium than bananas. Cholesterol and sodium free, this fruit is high in calories and should be consumed in moderation (1/2 avocado a day). I personally have a hard time keeping them out of my meals because they taste so good, especially in salads.
OLIVES
When I was younger, olives and olive oil were frequently spotted on the table during meals. By frequently, I mean
99.9% of the time. It was normal to see a side of olives no matter what my mom made that day -- lasagna, cabbage rolls, stuffed grape leaves, burgers or egg rolls. My brothers and I thought it was odd to have olives with egg rolls, but my dad always noticed that the zaytoun were missing (zaytoun is the Arabic word for olives). He would ask, "Where's the zaytoun?" To which my mom would add, "Didn't I tell you kids to put some olives on the table?"
It seemed that we had an unlimited supply of olives and olive oil -- and my parents were especially thrilled to receive their yearly shipment of freshly pressed olive oil from my grandparents, who lived in the Palestinian village of Biteen (pronounced Bait-een). This came shortly after the mid October harvest, the time when olives are ripe in the Middle East.
I did not know the full benefits of olive oil, except for the simple explanation my dad gave me, "It's good for your heart."
That was the short version. The longer version, I eventually learned, was that olive oil is rich in mono-saturated fat and antioxidants. It protects your heart is the heart healthy kind of fat that's good for you. There are many reports that state the benefits of olive oil, and the best ways to use it (mainly salads). People know olive oil is good for them, so there's no need to brag about it. Do your best to add extra-virgin olive oil to flavor your meals. A little bit goes a long way!
ALMONDS (and the extended nut family)
There are many types of nuts, but why do nutrition experts pay attention to almonds the most? One reason is that it's the nut highest in protein, fiber, calcium vitamin E, riboflavin and niacin. If you do not know this already, your body cannot produce vitamin E on its own -- and it's a not well known fact that almonds and sunflower seeds are the top two whole foods that have naturally occurring vitamin E.
COCONUTS
Are you confused whether coconuts are good or bad for you? Although high in saturated fat, coconut oil is unusually rich in short and medium chain fatty acids. This means that your body is able to convert coconut oil into energy instead of fat.
Coconut oil has a bad reputation for contributing to cholesterol and heart disease. This started in the early 1950’s, after studies revealed negative effects on the body due to coconut oil. These studies were based on hydrogenated oils (and what we know now is that any type of hydrogenated oil is not good for you). Furthermore, studies linked saturated fats to clogged arteries. Since coconut oil was very high in saturated fat, it became the scapegoat for Americans’ increasing waistlines. Was there much mention of fast food or processed food as the culprit?
When was the last time you saw coconut oil listed as an ingredient on a food label? I rarely do. And when was the last time you heard someone lose a bunch of weight because he or she gave up coconut oil?
Coconut oil is actually good for you. I cook all my food with it. It’s rich in lauric acid (also found in breast milk), which helps support your immune system, and contains no trans fat. The body converts lauric acid to a fatty acid derivative (monolaurin), which is the substance that protects infants from infections. The key is to use high quality, unrefined coconut oil.
AWARDS
All of these nominees should receive an award. People focus so much on numbers (counting calories, weight, etc) instead of content and quality. They believe fat makes them fat, even though approximately 50% of our cells are composed of fat. Without fat, we could not function.
In my next post, I will talk about the importance of eating animal fats. Yes, meat is good for you. It should be our primary source of nutrition, but so many people want to devalue it and "not really healthy." That's not true!

The core of this week’s blog entry comes from Dr. John Maxwell:
How do you look at life? Do you see a solution in every challenge OR a problem in every circumstance?
READ THAT ONE AGAIN!
********
For me, it's the 'is the glass half full OR half empty' approach to living life!
What do you do when someone complains about a situation?
It just happened to me yesterday. And, immediately I went to
'What can you create with what you do have . . . instead of focusing on what you can't get because you're not where you want to be.
When you've got your health, your mind, your family's love, and the moxie to not just survive, but thrive . . .
then you've got no long-term worries!
********
So what does a smart person do when faced with a challenge?
Here's what Dr. Maxwell says:
THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX
REFUSE TO GIVE UP . . . even if things look impossible.
REFOCUS YOUR THINKING . . . Mastermind with people who are solution oriented.
RE-THINK YOUR STRATEGY . . . Break a few rules . . . perhaps even arrive at absurd solutions.
REPEAT THE PROCESS . . . until you have your solution firmly in hand!

A colleague shared this piece with me, and when I shared it in my Motivational Message last week, it got an overwhelming 'thumbs up.'
Here it is for you:
Things I Believe
A Birth Certificate shows we were born A Death Certificate shows we died Pictures show we lived!
Have a seat....Relax. ..And read this slowly.
I Believe...
Just because two people argue,
Doesn't mean they don't love each other.
And just because they don't argue,
Doesn't mean they do love each other.
I Believe... We don't have to change friends if
We understand friends change.
I Believe....
No matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt
You every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
I Believe....
True friendship continues to grow, even over
The longest distance. Same goes for true love.
I Believe...
You can do something in an instant
That will give you heartache for life.
I Believe....
it's taking me a long time
To become the person I want to be.
I Believe.
You should always leave loved ones with
Loving words. It may be the last time you see them.
I Believe...
You can keep going long after you think you can't.
I Believe...
We are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.
I Believe...
Either you control your attitude or it controls you.
I Believe...
Heroes are the people who do what has to be done
When it needs to be done, regardless of consequences.
I Believe...
Money is a lousy way of keeping score.
I Believe...
My best friend and I can do anything or nothing And have the best time.
I Believe...
Sometimes the people you expect to kick you
When you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.
I Believe....
Sometimes when I'm angry, I have the right to be angry,
But that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
I Believe...
Maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had
And what you've e learned from them, and less to do
With how many birthdays you've celebrated.
I Believe...
It isn't always enough to be forgiven by others;
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself...
I Believe...
No matter how bad your heart is broken,
The world doesn't stop for your grief.
I Believe...
Our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are,
But we are responsible for whom we become.
I Believe...
You shouldn't be e so eager to find
Out a secret. It could change your life forever.
I Believe...
Two people can look at the exact same
Thing and see something totally different…
I Believe...
Your life can be changed in a matter of
Hours by people who don't even know you.
I Believe....
Even when you think you have no more to give, when
A friend cries out to you - you will find the strength to help.
I Believe...
Credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.
I Believe....
The people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon.
I Believe.....
You should send this to all of the people you believe in, I just did.
'The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
They just make the most of anything.’

“Power (knowledge) from the People: the Food, Diet, and Medical Industries Suppression of Information”
I am certainly not the first, but I’m terribly angered at finding vital, truthful, and straightforward—A+B=C-type information, available in the 1960’s--banned, finally and completely, in the 1980’s because it encouraged people to think for themselves and consider what they could do, within their own power of choice, to eat healthfully and avoid disease. The specific information in question comes from a biologist and physician who was a member of, no. 1, The National Association for the Advancement of Science; 2, The American Association of Cereal Chemists; 3, The Institute of Food Technologists; 4, A.H.A. Council of Arteriosclerosis; 5, American Oil Chemists Society; 6, P.M.P. Chamber of Commerce; 7, American Aging Association; 8, American Heart Association. He was President of a major medical library and laboratory. This man, a doctor, as above stated, dedicates his book, “Stale Food vs. Fresh Food” to “..a better life for all.” In the dedication he encourages people to bring this information to their family doctor. Dr. Robert Ford clearly, on p. 62 of his book, states that the food industry is obviously not the sole cause of arteriosclerosis:
The atherosclerotic condition of the people cannot wholly be laid at the feet of the food processing industries because the same disease from flour, bacon, ham, sausage, and so on existed to some extent long before development of the modern food industry…It is not desirable to point a finger at anyone, but only that all concerned should work constructively to improve the condition of our people. Knowing the cleverness of industrial scientists, I would not be surprised to see arteriosclerosis begin to gradually fade away after they have had a decade or so to improve processed foods based on this new knowledge.
Well, that last wish never happened did it? That was written in 1968. “This new knowledge” he was referring to is, that arteriosclerosis and related diseases such as arthritis are greatly caused by the “fatty rubbish”, or rancid waste materials in processed foods that the body is unable to break down. Obviously the food industry had no immediate monetary advantage in such work as improving processed foods in that way. And “Fresh Foods” have never had a monetary giant for an advocate. (Wait a minute, how about 300,000,000 people standing together?--oops, I was forgetting for a moment that that would never happen, or if it did it would somehow make me a socialist) This book was banned through the US. Postal Service and then entirely from publication in 1982. In the hearing where the judge decided against Ford’s book, the main premise for this was, that some Dr. Murray said that “informed medical opinion” does not maintain that diet can in any way reverse arteriosclerosis, and that to read such material would cause people to avoid getting AMA approved treatment for their condition. This is of course assuming that the person reading is dying of arteriosclerosis and rejecting all medical help upon reading! The the main premise of the book is prevention, not treatment. And, as I stated above, the books dedication includes presenting the material for consideration to one’s doctor. By the way, Dr. Murray was under 30 with obviously loads of clinical experience. Hmm, I wonder if he was doing any research for the chemical companies. Bonuses for drugs, anyone?
Today, see what a well-respected physician is saying about the food industry. These days it’s getting more difficult to silence a doctor actually observing his Hippocratic Oath. This particular article is from Bottom Line Health, information that is free and available to all. In his article for November of this year, “Your Taste Buds are being Fooled!”, Dr. David A. Kessler, former head of the Food and Drug Association, asserts that, yes indeed, the food manufacturers do their best to trick your taste buds into wanting more, and more, and more “food”. He goes on to say that will-power, (as with any addiction-my words), or lack of it, is not to blame. In fact, he asserts that our brains are being “hi-jacked” by certain combinations of chemicals that encourage dopamine release. Indeed, “hyperpalatability” of the food-or, rather, stuff-to-be-ingested, is the desired characteristic of much research in creating new food products loaded with fat, sugar, and salt. When questioned, what do the food manufacturers say? As usual, they say they’re giving the people what they want. This line of thinking is reminiscent of the unfortunate raped woman who avoids going to the authorities in dread of being accused of attracting the rape with her clothing choices. Dr. Kessler’s article can be read here: http://www.bottomlinesecrets.com/article.html?article_id=50118
In my next 2 posts I will be examining the basic principles covered in Dr. Robert Ford’s book, now unavailable in print. It can be found, however, at the online Soil and Health Library, and the link is provided below if you’d like to follow along. His book is engaging reading and you may be amazed at how on-target most of his assertions have proven to be, over time. Hopefully this will not enrage most of you as it has me…but I digress. One of the things I found most interesting is the connection between arthritis and arteriosclerosis, which specifically the next post will address.
Until then, think for yourselves and have abundant health!

You’ve probably always heard ‘word-of-mouth’ is the best advertising there is . . .Have you ever wondered what you can do to encourage more referrals?
It starts with you.
Are you active in your communities? How many ‘communities’ (aka networks) are you a member of?
Here are what I believe to be Seven Essential Networks you need to develop.
1) Spiritual -- where we worship
2) Social -- who are our friends
3) Professional -- we need to belong to our profession's industry organizations.
4) Ethnic -- if you have ties to ethnic and/or cultural communities, this network can be critical to you.
5) Gender -- Particularly women - we are natural networkers - socializers.
6) Community Service - translates into volunteer work.
7) Interests or Hobbies - be part of a club that celebrates the activities you like to do!
As you go through your daily activities, how many communities will you touch (just by the nature of living your life)?
When you are working, socializing, volunteering, being a parent and at worship how many lives can you touch?
Remember this KEY: Be more INTERESTED instead of INTERESTING to the people you talk with.
When you do this, people will go out of their way to help others (and you) by making referrals.

Pasteur
Wins
Pasteur's ideas become the foundation of organized medicine more
because of politics than science. But the main driver was
pharmaceutical economics.
Pasteur was decorated by the Emperor Napoleon early in his career. This blessing from on high secured his position as the preeminent
scientist of his day. Despite having no credentials at all in
medicine or physiology he now had a license to steal so to speak.
Scientists at the time were grappling with mankind's first look at
fundamental questions about the nature of living matter.
- What makes something alive or dead?
- Where does the life force
come from?
- Why do things rot, ferment, or decompose?
- Is there
something in the air, or something inside the organism that has these
effects?
- What effects can man-made chemicals have?
For the first time in history, we were beginning to answer these
questions. Many discoveries were being made about these fundamental
questions, but in fits amnd starts.
It was a great time for an opportunist like Pasteur to take
advantage of the general uncertainty and lack of understanding. He
could claim that he understood all the issues involved, and that he
had thought of the answers first. Pasteur played both sides of an issue he didn't understand, and
then later, he would only quote the parts of his earlier writing that
supported the later finding, always claiming that he had thought of
it first.
The problem was that only scientists understood the complexities
of these emerging ideas. The press, governments and the royal courts
only knew that something important was going on. Though they didn't
know what, they would act as though they did. A huckster like Pasteur
was the perfect frontman for these powerful elites. Power and politics never change. The same process that imprisoned
Galileo for writing that the earth went around the sun, the elite's
eternal attempt to control the minds of the commoners, were the
processes that cast Pasteur, into a position he did not deserve--the
trailblazer in the science of modern biomedicine.
Like so many other things, a discovery doesn't catch on until the
commercial aspects of that discovery have been worked out. Howard
Hencke, in his 1995 book The Germ Theory: A Deliberate Aberration,
notes that it was critical for the new medical industry.
"... to indoctrinate the public in the Western world with the
belief that the salvation from all, especially physical ailments, lay
outside the individual's system and responsibility, because it was
caused by external factors...and that chemical remedies (drugs) will
keep him free from disease, independent of his own vigilant
responsibility."
This is a marketing process.
Hume writes in Pasteur or Bechamp?:
"Had it not been for the mass selling of vaccines, Pasteur's
germ theory of disease would have collapsed into obscurity."
-
E. Douglas Hume
17 years before Pasteur, Florence Nightengale, the most famous
nurse in history, said this:
"Diseases are not individuals arranged in classes like cats
and dogs, but conditions growing out of one another. The specific
disease is the grand refuge of the weak, uncultured, unstable minds,
such as now rule in the medical profession. There are no specific
diseases; there are specific disease conditions."
F.N. 1860
The Doubters
From the beginning, the notoin of piercing the skin with a needle
for any reason was suspect. Even more so was injecting novel proteins and
chemical into what was supposed to be the inviolable environment of
the circulatory system. Injections are a complete violation of
natural laws.
Normally everything is introduced into the bloodstream by going
through the complexity of the digestive system or the mucous
membranes. This is how nature protects the blood from external attack.
There were literally hundreds of researchers opposing inoculation:
"The most serious disorders may be provoked by the injection
of living organisms into the blood...into a medium not intended for
them may provoke redoubtable manifestations of the gravest morbid
phenomena."
- Bechamp
Walter Hadwen, MD, in his book Microbes and War notes that the
Boer war itself killed 86,000 men. With a 100% inoculation rate,
there were an additional 96,000 casualties from disease alone!
Dr. Montais studied 21 cases of tetanus, each had received a
Pasteurian inoculation. His conclusion, which appeared in the 23 Oct
1915 issue of the Lancet, was that in every case, the tetanus had
been caused by the inoculation. Dr. Montais concluded that "Pasteur
had created a new form of disease."
Pasteur began the fashion of studying artificial disease
conditions: "inducing sickness by morbid injections in human and
animal subjects, instead of studying naturally diseased subjects."
Pasteur also began the practise of vivisection and other horrific
animal experiments. In the natural state, animalstypically have different
diseases from humans. But even the animals bodies are different. For example most animals can
produce ascorbic acid, humans cannot. When sick animals can produce up
to 100x more ascorbic acid than normal. This one error has led us down a very costly
and ultimately fruitless path. It seems a folly to hope to cure human
disease by giving animals diseases they would never have gotten in
nature, pretending such diseases are the same ones we get, then
seeing which drugs cover up the animal's symptoms. We incorrectly conclude that those same drugs will have the same
effect in humans. Mistaken as that sounds, it's pretty much how many
prescription drugs have made their way to market since Pasteur's
time.
So with many major researchers eventually coming around to the
above conclusions, how is it that st the start of the 21st century,
organized medicine still acts as though the Germ Theory is carved in
stone and all policy proceeds from this premise? And most people
still believe it? The answer is out there, it's not hidden, but it's also not well
known or much talked about. Fast forward to the 1880s and 1890s. The
Industrial Revolution has created massive wealth, two figures towered
over this era, wielding more power over science, industry, finance,
and politics than possibly anyone else in history: Andrew Carnegie
and J.D. Rockefeller.
The amount of control Carnegie and Rockefeller had over most
aspects of American life is something to marvel at and appreciate,
even to the present day. Much like today, change was occurring faster than the politicians
could control it, and for the first time in our history, control was
firmly in the private sector. Many things changed, but the rise
of organized medicine has had profound effects on how everyone,
doctors and patients, think about disease, treatment and being
healthy itself.
Before 1880, most medicine was a mosaic of folk remedies, herbs,
crude surgery and dentistry, more so than today, there was much
quackery. For centuries leading up to this point, there had not been
much change in the area of medicine. Superstition was as much a part
of medicine as the actual remedies themselves. The use of leeches and
bleeding was still common, the reason being to "let out the bad
blood,'" which was in the same category with getting rid of evil
spirits. Even trepanation, drilling holes in the skull, which had
been around since the time of the Pharaohs, was still being
performed.
In Renaissance Europe, barbers and surgeons actually were the same
people, combining the services of shaving, pulling teeth and
blood-letting. The origin of the red and white striped barber-pole is
well-known: an enterprising barber/surgeon, having just bled a famous
nobleman, proudly displayed a bloody white towel used in the
procedure by wrapping it around a pole outside his establishment. In
the 1700s, King Edward IV of England instituted a corporation of
"barber-chirurgiens"(surgeons) who performed the above
services. This lasted until 1800 when King George II separated
barbers and surgeons into two separate professions.
Among their many enterprises, Carnegie and Rockefeller controlled
the oil and coal industries. By 1900, they began to realize that
these industries were producing mountains of waste every year. What
if these chemical waste materials could somehow be turned to profit?
Medicines, were the answers. But novel medicines never seen before.
Medicines made from chemicals: Pharmaceuticals.

Liberation Wellness LLC., a health and wellness company
based in the metro-Philadelphia area, announced today the release of a
nutrition certification program, teaching people how to remove highly
processed, fake food from today’s diet.
The multi-part Nutrition Wellness Educator
(NWE) nutrition program contains everything needed in order to get
started in a career in wellness. “The education program revolves
around the Liberation Diet,
which has been helping people get thin and healthy as part of an entire
wellness program,” reports Kevin Brown, President, and Co-Author of the
Liberation Diet Book. “Virtually every week we get wonderful heart-warming stories posted on our blog
about people that have changed their life as a result of making
lifestyle changes as taught by the Liberation Wellness program.”
The certification program is composed of the Liberation Diet book,
two information-rich audio programs detailing many of the leading diet
programs and exercise myths, a professional 50-question exam, a
powerpoint presentation to teach others and an educator assistance
package to help students get started, in addition to all the support
one needs to complete the certification program via websites and a
telephone line for students.
“Heart disease was rare 100 years ago,” reports Brown, “but today it is
one of the biggest killers due to fake foods that are high in chemicals
and overly processed. We also didn’t have the plethora of modern
misinformation about diet, which is a major reason our nation is so
sick, fat and confused. The Liberation Wellness Educator program is
helping people teach others how to find, prepare and eat real foods,
the way people ate before modern lifestyle diseases began to plague
America.”

Antoine Bechamp
In 1932 a booked titled “Bechamp
or Pasteur?” was published under the name E. Douglas Hume. Hume was
actually a woman who had to ghostwrite under a male name to get her
book published. Hume wrote about Antoine Bechamp, a contemporary of
Pasteur. Bechamp was department chair at the University at Lille,
France and the most respected professor and researcher at the time.
Bechamp was a talented and committed researcher who cared more for
what was going on in the lab than awards, politics or personal
appearances. He worked nearly everyday of his life until his death at
age 93. Bechamp reasoned that it was not the pathogens that caused
disease, but rather the condition in which pathogens lived. Disease
happens when an imbalance causes some of pathologen (bacteria,
viruses, yeast) to take over. What causes the imbalance? Poor nutrition,
overloaded or weak immune system, stress. This seems like such a
simple idea, but it is the fundamental question of the whole
controversyto this day. Even Pasteur, agreed that pathogens do not cause disease alone. Dr. Price was convinced that the change from traditional diets high in vitamin A and D to "foods of commerce" was a significant factor in the rise of TB rates.
I encourage you to do a little research on Pasteur, you will
discover the following:
-
Pasteur had background no in medicine
or physiology; he was trained as a chemist
-
Pasteur likely created the disease
known as "hydrophobia," rather than found a cure for it.
-
Pasteur started the horrific
practise of vivisection. Still in use today, it is responsible for much needless suffering of animals.
-
Pasteur was directly responsible
for the deaths of hundreds of people inoculated with his unproven
vaccines, and indirectly for thousands more when disease was
introduced by other unproven procedures developed by Pasteur.
-
Pasteur was more a merchant than a
scientist, with his frequent reporting of false test findings and
fraudulent data, which always had two purposes: self-promotion and
profiteering from the sale of drugs and vaccines that were often
made mandatory by legislators.
-
Pasteur's methods of treatment
actually killed Alexander, the King of Greece, for a disease he did
not even have.
-
Pasteur frequently avoided working on naturally diseased
subjects, instead he introduced the idea of inducing sickness by
giving disease injections into healthy subjects.
As for his Germ Theory, there was a great deal of opposition to it
among many researchers of the time.
In a lecture given in London
1911, M.L. Leverson, MD stated:
"The entire fabric of the germ theory of disease rests upon
assumptions which not only have not been proved, but which are
incapable of proof, and many of them can be proved to be the reverse
of truth. The basic one of these unproven assumptions, wholly due to
Pasteur, is the hypothesis that all the so-called infectious and
contagious disorders are caused by germs."
Rudolf Virchow, the discoverer of the cell theory, with respect to
the Germ Theory, commented:
"Germs seek their natural habitat - diseased tissue - rather
than being the cause of diseased tissue."
Virchow thought that the presence of germs identified a tissue as
diseased, and was not the cause of disease. A weakened or diseased
tissue was a target for pathogens, providing a hospitable environment
in which they can thrive. Quite different from germs having caused
the weakened tissue in the first place.
Bechamp graphically showed the same idea when an amputated arm was
brought into his lab. The patient's elbow had developed gangrene
within eight hours after a sever blow, amputation was the only option
to save the patient. Bechamp began to examine the severed limb using
his microscope. To his amazement he found no bacteria in the
gangrenous tissue. After a few hours bacteria began to appear, where
initially there were none. Bechamp's associate, Professor Estor, remarked "Bacteria cannot be the cause of gangrene;
they are the effects of it."
Robert Koch
Robert Koch was
racing against Pasteur to find the cause of anthrax, which was
killing great numbers of cattle in Europe at the time. He took blood
from the diseased cattle and isolated bacteria from it and injected
mice with the bacteria. Of the mice that died, Koch cultured their
blood and compared it to the original bacteria from the cattle. His
postulates are still memorized by medical students the world over as
the foundation of the Germ Theory:
1. The organism must be present in every case
2. Must be
isolated
3. Must cause the disease in a healthy host
4. Must be
isolated again
Each postulate has been proven false, both at the time and even
today, but his postulates are still basic tenets of the Germ Theory
“religion”. Both anthrax vaccines that Koch and Pasteur developed
were near total failures, thousands of sheep all over Europe were
killed as part of the "experiment". Both Koch and Pasteur
did everything possible to alter and cover up the results of these
failures.
Strike two
Koch developed the first vaccine for tuberculosis, using his
postulates. The vaccine was called "tuberculin". In Berlin, 2000
patients were inoculated with tuberculin. They died at a higher rate
than TB patients who hadn't been treated at all. Tuberculin simply
did not work.
Even more upsetting to Koch was the revelation that the Prussian
government had made an exclusive agreement with Koch to sell tuberculin and share the profits. This was a political disaster for the
Prussian government and a huge blow to Koch's reputation. It was also
an embarrassment for the cause of scientific medicine when the
prestige of the scientific method suddenly suffered this failure. Koch
never recovered his credibility and today is only remembered for his
"Postulates." However Koch helped arrange the marriage of
science and marketing, for which divorce does not appear likely any
time soon, especially at present.

WISE
TRADITIONS 2009
10th ANNUAL CONFERENCE
FARM AND RANCH PROGRAM
The Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund and the Farm-to-Consumer Foundation
teamed up to create three unique educational tracks at the conference. While an
obvious audience is farmers, these sessions were also created with consumers in
mind. Since consumers direct the flow of money within this holistic model, many
farmers are scrambling to use more sustainable techniques, have more livestock
on grass, provide more products and create more distribution avenues. An
educated consumer is a good friend to small farmers.
FRIDAY - WHAT EVERY GRASS-BASED FARMER (AND CONSUMER) SHOULD KNOW -We'll explore transitioning farms to grass
based livestock farming. Some farmers (and cows) are finding that too much of a
good thing, is not a good thing. Instant consumer demands for "all
grass" dairy and meat can unwittingly upset small farm sustainability. We
know the benefits of slow cooking pastured meats, we'll now learn the benefits
of slow (yet innovative) changes to support soil, pasture, livestock, farm and
farmer/consumer health.
SATURDAY - ARTISANAL FARMING WITH
LIVESTOCK: BRINGING ANIMAL HUSBANDRY
BACK TO ANIMAL SCIENCE - Will Winter, DVM will distill his experience as
farmer, educator, distributor and holistic veterinarian in a day-long workshop
covering grass based livestock, grass genetics, holistic herd health and
pastured pork.
SUNDAY - FARM DIRECT - THE NEW FACE OF MARKETING AND DISTRIBUTION - We'll
highlight two new private and successful consumer-driven distribution models
and highlight one farmer who used raw milk to open the doors to more
diversified distribution.

Vegetable oils like soy, corn,
cottonseed and canola are polyunsaturated fats. These fats are very unstable
(because they have several double bonds that are easily broken, making it easy
for free radicals to attack), especially when heated so they go rancid quickly.
Humans have only been consuming these oils for about 100 years whereas butter,
lard, beef tallow, coconut and olive oils have been consumed for thousands of
years. It is interesting to note that we
didn’t develop epidemic rates of heart disease, cancer, diabetes and obesity
until we stared eating vegetable oils and decreasing our intake of animal fats.
Vegetable oils are generally high in
omega 6 fats and low in omega 3 fats so if we eat a lot of them (which we do in
America because everything is made with them) we get too much omega-6 and not
enough omega-3 causing our fatty acid profile to become unbalanced. Omega-6 and omega-3 fats compete with each
other for absorption which means that a diet high in omega-6 fats will deplete
the body of omega-3 fats. This imbalance
leads to inflammation, pain and disease.
The vegetable oils you buy at the store
are most likely already rancid when you purchase them and products containing
these oils are also already rancid. We
can’t tell they are rancid because deodorizers are used to disguise the rancid
smell. Heating these oils causes even more
damage to these delicate oils which translates to more free radical production
and inflammation in the body.
Another serious problem with vegetable
oils is that, unless they are from an organic source, they are genetically
modified. Allergies have increased
significantly since we have been eating genetically modified foods and these
foods can also contribute to infertility and other problems.
The best fats to use are butter,
coconut oil, olive oil, lard, beef tallow and palm oil, with small amounts of
flax and sesame oil. These fats promote
health in the body and have nourished and strengthened humans for thousands of
generations.

healthy life. She is founder of Find Your Weigh online at findyourweigh.com.

Being able to start each day with the right mindset is important.
My sixth grade son calls it his ‘game face.’
Quick Question: What is your game face and what is it telling the world?
Here are some shared reflections to make the your week laser focused and filled with gratitude. . .
The first is a universal truth:
Out of every adversity comes a seed of equivalent or greater value.
When one door closes . . .another one opens
--------------------------------------------
My friend Max Steingart says it this way:
'YOU CAN DEVELOP SUCCESS FROM ANY FAILURE
Failure is one of the surest stepping stones to success.
No element can do as much for you as failure can,
if you're willing to study it and make capital out of it.
View every problem you encounter as an opportunity. There is always a good side to every situation.'
The optimist sees the doughnut, the pessimist sees the hole.
----------------------------------------------
For those of you that see the glass half full . . . here are a few short quotes to get you in the 'hmmm' mode:
"The thoughts we choose to think are the tools we use to
paint the canvas of our lives."
-- Louise Hay
"A moment of choice is a moment of truth. It's the
testing point of our character and competence."
-- Stephen Covey
"What you get by achieving your goals is not as important
as what you become by achieving your goals."
-- Zig Ziglar
"Trust that still, small voice that says, This might
work and I'll try it."
-- Diane Mariechild
"Success and True Lifestyle Freedom are in the Foundations
that you build on a Daily Basis"
--John DiLemme
Read Zig Ziglar’s quote it again:
'What you get by achieving your goals is not as important
as what you become by achieving your goals.'
What do you want to become?
Take a minute to identify where it is that you want to go . . .
Put you 'game face' on and know your consistent daily actions
will yield BIG results. Be like a pro football player . . . keep 'em
guessing until you're at the goal line!

In just 50 years antibiotics are well on their way to becoming
obsolete. And the reason is that nature adapts faster than we can
innovate. Antibiotics first came out as a nearly miraculous cure for
common infections. But little thought was ever given to two key
questions:
- Why do some people get infections and others do not?
- How will infectious agents respond to antibiotics over time?
The history of antibiotics and the antibiotic-age that they
ushered in involves several historical figures, some famous, some not
so famous. Men like Pasteur, Bechamp, Koch, Bernard, Carnegie, Rockefeller,
Fleming, all had a hand in it.
Whenever there is an outbreak of disease there are always people
that never get sick and sick people that don't die. So why is that?
The answer is nutrition. But unfortunately modern medicine and
nutrition researchers don't see it that way. And this is the core of
a long brewing controversy in science.
In France during the 1870s, three scientists were conducting
experiments with yeast, and the newly discovered micro-organisms
called bacteria. All were conducting similar research and there was
a great deal of borrowing in the competition for novel discoveries.
There were two french men, Louis Pasteur, Antoine Bechamp, and a
German, Robert Koch. These individuals worked independently and each
knew that he was onto a whole new area of human discovery, and the
race was on to influence the medical world and make a fortune.
Pasteur won the race of politics and influence and today
students memorize that Louis Pasteur "discovered" the Germ
Theory. Not only is this inaccurate, but Germ Theory itself is
unsubstantiated even today. Pasteur himself, recanted the theory and
admitted that his rivals had been right, and that it was not the germ
that caused the disease, but rather the environment in which the germ
was found.
The Germ Theory
Germ Theory states that there are separate diseases and that each
disease is caused by a particular micro-organism. It is the job of
science to find the right drug or vaccine that would selectively kill
off the offending bug without killing the patient.
Sounds like a good idea at first. But nature is a moving target--both the infectious agent and host.
Bacteria and viruses are "environment-specific." That's
why some people get the flu and others do not and why some die and some do not. That's why some doctors and nurses are immune to
disease even though they're surrounded by it day in and day out.
Deepak Chopra tells a story where the influenza virus was isolated
and implanted directly onto the mucous membranes of a group of
subjects, with only 12% of them getting the flu. If it was the germ
and not the environment (subject), then more people should have gotten sick.
Instead what happened is that 88% of the subjects were able to fight
off the virus.
The Germ Theory is weak and Pasteur knew it, hence the death bed
confession. But Pasteur had a gift for self-promotion. He would never
let his research keep him from an opportunity to address royalty or a
medical society at a prestigious university.
He was well published, frequently quoted, and given practically
every honorary title and chair in Europe. The record establishes
fairly clearly that Pasteur "borrowed" research for
some of his most famous discoveries, and then capitalized on his
celebrity of being there first.
Before his death, Pasteur left instruction not to release over
10,000 pages of lab notes after his death. It wasn't until 1975,
after the death of his grandson, that the secret notes were finally
made public. Professor Geison, a historian from Princeton, made a
thorough study of the papers. He presented his findings to The
American Association for the Advancement of Science in Boston in
1993. Dr. Geison concluded that Pasteur published a great deal of
fraudulent data and was guilty of multiple counts of scientific
misconduct, violating rules of medicine, science, and ethics.
Both Koch and Pasteur were motivated by money and fame. In the race for an anthrax vaccine, not only did Pasteur not
test it on animals before using human subjects; it was also
established that Pasteur actually stole the formula from Toussaint, a
colleague. Toussaint died a few months later of a nervous breakdown
after being unable to prove his claim at the time.
To be continued...

"God Pours in a Solution!"
When we ask....God pours in a solution! I think our days of bloating, lethargy, too much weight and diabetes are over!
This email is to introduce you to Kevin Brown, of
Visionary Trainers and the Liberation Diet.
Kevin Brown, is a personal trainer and nutrition expert (he's
using Weston A. Price principles, and getting results). I went to his
presentation, read his book
(Liberation DIet), and just now finished my consult with him.
I think his approach can help us! His diet can get
us low-blood-sugar-early-diabetes-Raymond's back on the right
track. For instance, without ANY grain carbs (and very little veg or
fruit carbs - did you know fruits & veggies are carbs? I didn't), I
am NOT hungry, NOT snacking, and NOT tired when I walk morning, noon
and night.
I used to eat several small snacks to keep my blood
sugar up...but if I don't eat carbs, my blood sugar stays stable. I ate
breakfast at 10am to day, and haven't had anything since - except iced
tea, and I'm not hungry, nor fuzzy thinking. I'll likely go to bed
without eating anything else, so I can loose weight while I sleep.
YIPPEE! I love that thought!
Kevin said something that really got me....the Sumo
wrestlers in Japan get those huge weights by eating and then sleeping.
How many late night dinners have I had, and then slept! YIKES!
I'm doing his online personal training program
(LiberationFitness) with home weights.
I've set the goal to loose 20# by the conference. Already I'm walking
and sleeping better. Kevin mentioned something to me that sleep apnea
changes with this program too. I thought that would be a blessing for
you.
We'll have a high fat, low carb dinner on Tuesday when you come over to see mom...YUM.
I'm excited that our family history of cancer, heart problems, diabetes, overweight, low-energy can be a thing of the past.
I'm doing it in honor of the approaching
anniversary of Dad's death. If you are interested in talking to Kevin -
he is cc:d on this. He's from Phili area, and comes to this area
frequently.
Long may the Raymond clan prosper!

If, while on the Liberation Diet, you are working with a doctor who is checking your blood cholesterol levels often, you may expect an increase as you lose weight, and may not begin to see a marked decrease until well after you have lost the excess weight. Keep in mind that the unhealthy cholesterol built up in the body by eating processed food and chemicals is more difficult and takes longer for the body to eliminate than does fat. The blood cholesterol will begin to drop a few weeks after weight loss stops.
Give yourself time. It is not only in the arteries that unhealthy fatty deposits have been made, but in all areas of the body. Food materials readily change into durable (shelf-life?) non-food forms when processed. When absorbed in the bloodstream and circulated, it accumulates mostly in the artery walls, joint cartilage, and fibrous parts of the body because these have a dense structure and poor blood supply so that the material is filtered and trapped inside, clumping together, and deposits tend to form in certain spots. The body has the ability to rid itself of this very slowly, but the unhealthy materials have been eaten over time faster than the deposits can be removed. Over time it of course builds up to a greater and greater extent, making us older than our years, dulling us and diminishing vitality before any sign of disease appears.1
Often the body regains its vigor within weeks of eating fresh, real food. While following the Liberation Diet, your body will begin rebuilding itself and cleaning itself and you will notice short term and long-term effects. So if closely monitoring cholesterol is part of your regimen with your doctor, it would be safe not to expect marked, long-term decreases to begin until 4 to 6 weeks after weight loss has ended.

Worlds Greatest Diet Book -
Still Being Discovered!
There aren’t many diet books that interest me
anymore, especially one that I would sit and read fully in a single
sitting. However, “The Liberation Diet”
easily kept me captivated throughout its entirety. It is rare to find a book on diet today that
is based on common sense and historical precedent. Kevin Brown and Annette Presley have managed
to cut through our contemporary nutritional garbage and bring to market a book
constituted on solid dietary principles and a simple rationale.
Much of their content flies in the face of the
vast majority of our current dietary “experts,” many of whom represent political
and/or pure commercial interests. What I
found refreshing was how their suggested protocol aligned almost identically
with one of the greatest natural bodybuilders of the 20th century,
Vince Gironda. In order to strengthen
and state their case, Kevin and Annette went back in time to chronicle the works
of our nutritional and Physical Culture pioneers. They lay out a history that clearly supports
their claim that our traditional North American dietary staples were sound in
nutrition and facilitated excellent health.
The mandate of “The Liberation Diet” is to both
free the general laymen of the current confusion surrounding healthy food and
make simple alterations for safe and effective fat loss that have stood the test
of time. Hopefully this book will see
wide spread distribution. Excellent
job!

October is National Breast Cancer Month and people are
sporting cute pins, buttons and bracelets encouraging everyone to ‘support ta
tas’ and ‘feel your boobies.’ Women are
being reminded to get their yearly mammogram and eat lots of fruits and
vegetables. What no one is talking about
is iodine.
Iodine
is a very important mineral that is stored in the thyroid gland, ovaries and
breasts. Breast Cancer has several
etiologies but one of them is iodine deficiency coupled with bromide/flouride
toxicity. Bromide, fluoride and chlorine,
found in swimming pools, our water supply and the artificial sweetener Splenda,
all compete with iodine for absorption. Flouride
is also in the water supply and in foods prepared with fluoridated water,
toothpaste and medications such as the antidepressants Paxil and Prozac. Flonase and Flovent also contain fluoride. Bromide is found in such things as furniture,
carpet, cars, fire retardant clothing and mattresses, asthma medications and
flour and bread products.
Iodine
is important for thyroid and breast health and a connection between
hypothyroidism and breast cancer was first reported in 1896. Iodine deficiency can cause estrogen
production to increase and when you add increased estrogen production to the
increase in exposure to environmental estrogens in plastic, pesticides, meat
and dairy foods, you have a ripe environment for the development of breast
cancer. On top of that, we are bombarded
with bromide and fluoride on a daily basis which further deplete iodine.
One of
the best steps to take in preventing cancer is to get an iodine loading test
and discuss the results with a knowledgeable physician who can prescribe the
right dose of iodine for you. You want
to get plenty of unrefined sea salt in the diet as the chloride component of
salt helps to rid the body of bromide.
Vitamin C, magnesium and selenium need to be taken along with iodine, so
again, it’s best to consult a knowledgeable physician.

CASE STUDY OF MANGOSTEEN AND DEPRESSION AND OTHER CHRONIC DISEASE
I don’t really know why I’ve waited so long to report on this, but I’ve never been one to make claims--even if it’s backed by solid science and actual, documented experience. Sales was obviously never my forte, nor my raison d’etre if you will pardon my French. However, the results reported here are at the very least significant, and I hope, inspiring. The case in point is my very own, and I admit to have made myself a guinea pig on more than one occasion to prove a point to my own self in my lifetime. Now it is time to share it with a larger audience because the resulting effects I’ve enjoyed with mangosteen have been so positive and so incredibly healing in all areas of my life.
I first discovered mangosteen by mistake. I was not looking for it, but I did have my “radar” on the lookout for natural ways of treating liver disease, from which my husband was suffering at the time, hepatitis C to be specific. We’d just been married and baby Sophie-Marie was 3 months old. I was fortunate enough to find mangosteen in its most natural and efficacious, whole fruit form, and if you are interested in it you may contact me after reading this at the address below, or contact Kevin Brown himself and mention this article. I decided to try it with my husband. The list of possible benefits sounded too good to be true. They turned out to be too good, and true! However, as with any natural supplement, you must use it consistently and over time to fully discover the benefits. So we did. Not only did my husband’s hepatitis C disappear over the course of a year, but his chronic pain from a torn rotator cup and other cartilage damage diminished about 75%, and that occurred within 2 weeks of taking the supplement 3x daily. But I digress, because I was going to talk about ME!
I was happy to discover that, along with the immune system support I was looking forward to, I experienced significant relief from chronic, major depression within 10 days. A normal week for me was to have 2 good days, 3 if I was very lucky. These were days when I felt good about what I was able to accomplish, or was able to enjoy being outside or being with people part of the time. Within 2 weeks, I found I was functioning. Every day! And after 3 years, I will have maybe 2-3 days out of the month where I would feel like withdrawing—which I consider to be natural for most females. I also have the herpes virus, which would affect me at least once a month without fail. I would have to take acyclovir regularly to keep it at bay. The difference drinking the mangosteen supplement has me having to take medication 25% of the time that I used to have to take it. I rarely have to take the acyclovir now. The other change I’ve enjoyed is the loss of my chronic bronchitis. Every time I’d get a cold I’d get this embarrassing hacker of a cough for at least a month that would often blend in to the next time I’d get sick. Now I get colds ½ as often as I used to, and IF I EVER get a cough at all, it lasts one week at the most.
Mangosteen contains nearly every phytonutrient available on the market today, except for enzymes found in aloe, plus it has something that no other supplement has, natural or otherwise. Scientists have identified well over forty different kinds of XANTHONES in the mangosteen fruit rind. Xanthones are super-antioxidants, perhaps the most powerful antioxidants known to man. Just go to www.pubmed.com and enter keywords,”xanthones”, and “garcinia mangostana”(the scientific name for mangosteen). Up will come a good deal of the scientific research already documented on the anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-tumor properties exhibited by these molecules and other phytonutrients present in the rind of the mangosteen. Mangosteen has been used in Southeast Asia for centuries for skin diseases, dysentery, and host of other ailments. Mangosteen is a very recent find for the western world; in fact, your computer word programs won’t recognize it, and none of the herbal and nutritional journals that I swear by even mention it. Be very thankful that the pharmaceutical companies didn’t get a hold of it first. A privately owned wellness company brought it to the world market in 2002 and remains the best producer of the highest quality organic mangosteen as a nutritional supplement.
Needless to say, I was very happily surprised to see it work on my depression, which had been an unhappy companion for most of my life. I immediately started researching it, making phone calls etc, and I found that indeed, some doctors were finding mangosteen to have a beneficial effect for patients with a variety of mental illnesses, that there was some helpful neurological component, possibly a specific set of xanthones, that were having a real, physical effect. I had heard of cases where patients with rheumatoid arthritis, 60-90 days into the mangosteen trial, were finally experiencing significant relief…but this personal, mental freedom was completely unforeseen. I had been on medication for over 10 years, had been put on everything initially and only one medication “worked” for me. It is also hard on the liver over time. It took me 18 months to finally get off of it, because I wanted to be careful. I’m so glad I did! But I would NEVER recommend doing so without supervision of a doctor who prescribes the medication you’re taking.
How do I know for sure it’s the mangosteen? Well, I do know my body well enough, but a forced withdrawal for 3 months recently occurred. We went through a rough patch where our house burned down a year ago, and relocating has been difficult. About 6 months ago I had to stop buying my supplement and went without for 3 months. The results were, return of depression, the need to use acyclovir regularly again, and the return of the psycho-cough when I caught a slight cold. I also noticed that my skin started breaking out again when the time of the month (for ladies) came, and that I was having severe emotional difficulties associated with PMS that would occur before I was on the mangosteen, that I had previously attributed to my depressive disorder. I don’t know to what else to attribute the relief! My diet is not perfect but pretty amazingly healthy compared to the average person; I do follow the Liberation Diet. I have not had a return to my eating disorder(that was a companion to depression for 22 years) through any of this, nor did the depression become as severe; I feel my overall health has still, over 3 years, greatly benefited from mangosteen. But I’ll tell you what! I won’t go without ever again! Believe me, I thought the results were psychological at first. I couldn’t believe it then, but I’m not waiting for the other shoe to fall anymore. This IS the other shoe and it fits great.
If you or someone you know suffers from depression whether or not it’s related to auto-immune disease (often it is), mangosteen is definitely worth trying. If there’s even a small chance you might find some relief and freedom it’s at least worth looking into. You are welcome to contact me at www.xanetplanet@yahoo.com or contact Kevin Brown directly, and mention the article.
May blessings abound on your path to healing!

You’ve got goals and dreams. Right?
Most people do. The question is what are you doing to achieve them?
What do ‘dreamers’ and ‘achievers’ have in common? The have a vision – they start with the end in mind.
What is the difference? Sometimes dreamers will keep their dreams and goals a secret . Achievers, take their dreams and goals, and apply laser focused action.
We’ve identified 7 Keys to Building a Dream Board (aka Vision Board) to help you get where you want to go.
1. Describe your perfect day. Even your perfect week. What would you do from the time you woke up until the time you go to bed.
2. Identify (in writing) what you want to create for you and your family in four critical areas:
a) Self-Development
b) Relationships
c) Serving Others
d) Materially
3. Write a ‘WHY’ statement that encompasses your perfect day and the 4 critical areas. This is a statement that you will read morning and night – saying your dreams aloud day and night creates unshakable belief that you will achieve your ‘WHY.’
4. A picture is worth 1,000 words. Put pictures to Critical Step #3. Grab a poster board, foam board, or extra large picture frame. Start with your birth certificate – because after all, weren’t we all born champions. If a spouse or partner is part of your ‘WHY,’ put a picture on the board. If there is a car you want, visit the dealership and have a salesman take a photo WITH YOU IN THE PICTURE. The more photos you have with you in them, the more personal your board will be that will allow your subconscious will go to work on. If you have an income goal, make a check out—payable to yourself with your company’s logo. Date it for the date you want to earn that amount of money.
5. Visit your Dream Board and your ‘WHY’ daily.
It is YOUR WHY that will keep you going when someone tries to steal your dreams.
This is what one of my mentors, John DiLemme, author of ’10 Life Lessons’ has to say…Why a WHY? Because it will change your life’s results forever.
If you want to hear more of what John has to say, here’s a link to his book:
http://snipurl.com/findyourwhynowdebbie
6. Invest in some secret time.
Whatever you do today will predict your future – your habits of today will predict your future. What you read and listen to will predict your future results – guaranteed!
7. You can have more than one copy of your Dream Board – and your
‘WHY.’
Keep your Dreams front and center. Having your dreams where you are – in the bathroom, your construction zone (aka your office), your handbag or briefcase – anywhere you would consistently be.
Now, take a brief journey with me . . .
Take your beautiful Dream Board and tear it up! That’s right, you heard me, tear up your Dreams – what does that feel like?

Autoimmune disorders are becoming more common affecting around 5% of American women today. It’s hard enough being a mother, wife, career woman and homemaker without the addition of a debilitating disease. So what should you do if you find yourself diagnosed with a disease such as lupus, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, or multiple sclerosis?
Modern medicine, if it even recognizes the above conditions, will find a way to treat the symptoms instead of trying to find the cause. The symptoms include things like fatigue, hair loss, pain, depression, and brain fog. Taking drugs to fix these symptoms may lead to further problems since drugs tend to affect the thyroid , adrenal glands and nutritional status.
In many cases, there is an underlying infection or thyroid problem that can be responsible for the symptoms of these autoimmune disorders. The first thing you should do is have your thyroid checked by a doctor who will not only look at the lab result, but your symptoms. Sometimes the tests come back normal, when things are not functioning normal. The next thing to do is get tested for the Mycoplasma bacterium. Getting these possible underlying conditions fixed could help you recover completely from the autoimmune disease without taking harmful medications.
Once you rule out hypothyroidism or infection, you need to fix your diet. Start by eating real food the way God made it. Eat more saturated fat and avoid the toxic vegetable oils like soy, corn, cottonseed and canola oils. Take cod liver oil and look into iodine therapy. Dr. David Brownstein is an authority on iodine and hypothyroidism so check out his books at drbrownstein.com.
Your health is your responsibility and you have the choice to live a full and abundant life, or a life dependent on debilitating medication. Don’t take a diagnosis of an autoimmune disorder lying down. Get up and do something about it.

There is a
new threat to our health from synthetic food ingredients. And like
Aspartame, the regulatory approval process that is suppose to protect
us is failing again. You may have noticed lately a growing number of
products that claim in their ads and on their labels that they have
“Less Salts”, “Less Sugar”, “Less MSG”. This type of
claim should make you think, “What are they putting in to let them
take this stuff out”. It should be obvious that they are not just
going to remove some of the salt, sugar and MSG. These three
ingredients are the key to increasing sales. So they are the geese
that lay the golden egg of the processed food industry.
What they
are putting in is a new class of food ingredients that are novel
molecules, never consumed by humans before. And you may have already
eaten them because they don't have to be on the label. These
chemicals turn off bitter receptors on the tongue and enhance the
salty, sweet and umami (savory) receptors. Companies like Kraft,
Nestle, Coca Cola and Cambell's Soup are already putting these
chemicals in their products. These chemicals are so powerful that the
amount of salt and sugar can be cut nearly in half, yet the same
level of salty or sweet flavor is maintained.
While some
food companies will admit they are contracted with Senomyx, they will
not reveal which foods have these chemicals added. The foods most
likely to contain these chemicals are soups, vegetable and fruit
juices, ice cream and sauces. Senomyx CEO Kent Snyder has said, “We
are helping companies clean up their labels”.
The company
that developed these new chemicals is called Senomyx. They took data
from the human gnome project and used it to analyze human taste buds.
This has allowed them to develop multiple chemicals that work in very
low concentrations, often less than 1 ppm. By comparison, artificial
sweeteners have concentrations of 200-500 ppm. These new chemicals do
not have to be separately listed. Instead they are allowed under
“artificial flavors”.
The fact
that they are used at concentrations of less the 1 ppm means they
don't have to through the rigorous FDA approval process for novel
chemicals. Instead they automatically get Generally Recognized as
Safe (GRAS) status. It only took Senomyx 18 months to get GRAS status
on their MSG replacer and they did this with a single safety study on
rats for 3 months. A study like this is not generally considered
adequate to determine safety. A minimum of two years on multiple
species will produce more realistic results.
This is
just another reason to avoid processed foods, especially if they
contain salt, sugar or MSG and “artificial ingredients”.

Everyday it seems we hear something about the swine
flu. People are visiting emergency rooms
for every ache and sneeze due to fear of getting the swine flu. Is our fear grounded in fact? So far, the swine flu has not been any worse
than any other flu. Most people get the
usual flu symptoms for a few days and then they are fine. Some with compromised immune systems have
died, but that happens with every flu that comes around.
The swine flu, or any other flu, is not fun to go through,
but we don’t need to be afraid. Just try
the following preventative tips:
1.
Eat real food the way God made it.
2.
Eat saturated fat found in butter and coconut
oil daily.
3.
Make homemade chicken broth and drink some
daily.
4.
Take cod liver oil and vitamin C daily.
5.
Avoid refined sugar.
6.
Get plenty of rest.
7.
Wash your hands in soap and water.
Taking the above precautions may help prevent the flu or
make the symptoms less severe and they are much more reliable and much safer
than a vaccine or drug.

Butter on the Move in Virginia!
Hi Kevin -
Thank you so much for speaking to our
Roanoke Valley Group last
Tuesday. Everyone that attended was very happy to hear your talk and
you received rave reviews. We look forward to having you back soon.
Personally, I had been on a "diet" from my Holistic Doctor that
unfortunately is not a WAPFer. She had me on protein meal replacements,
powdered greens and fiber powders. I was feeling better, but still
fatigued and hormonal imbalances that created horrible mood swings and
depression. She also had me drinking lots of water and eating before
bed. I also have about 10 pounds of "stress" weight that I am looking
forward to losing.
After your visit I stopped the powders, drink a lot less water and
do not eat three hours before bed. I also cut out popcorn. I feel
great!!! I have energy and no mood swings in just three days! Yea!!!
Thank you for the great work you are doing in spreading the truth about nutrition and the
WAPF.
Sincerely,

There is No Money in Fasting!
By Janet Marsh Demeter, Staff Writer
Fasting is an ancient techanique for healing and detoxification of
the body from a variety of ills, and for maintenance of optimum health.
Studies show that we are designed to fast and fasting is in part an
evolutionary development of times of food scarcity.
As with other areas of the Natural Healing arena, general consciousness
of its benefits are not well-known; in fact, people tend to be fearful
of fasting. This fear of fasting is really the fear of feeling
"hunger", or what people think is hunger. More often than not, the
sensations of withdrawal from irritating substances are confused with
hunger and do not come from the absence of real, natural foods. What
constitutes "real food" is well researched here with our Liberation
Fitness staff and at westonaprice.org, but basically, sudden
restriction from anything that is not natural and/or is super-refined
with preservatives and other toxins, can create the lightheadedness,
headache, cravings, stomach pains, and other symptoms that people
mistake for real hunger. Actually, the willingness to "sit through"
these feelings of withdrawal can eventually free a person, through
fasting, from a bad eating habit, among other things.
Considering again the benefits and very basic physiology of the fast,
the first 3 days are the most dramatic whether it's a 4, 7, 10, 30 day
water fast, because during the first 72 hours the body switches feul
sources. During the first day, the body generally consumes all of its
stores of glycogen in the liver(normal source of glucose), so then it
must find another source. It begins to break-up fatty acids(ketosis) as
feul, and also (catabolizes)breaks down amino-acids from the muscles to
make glucose, about 2-3 oz of muscle on the second day. By the third
day, the ketosis or breaking down of fatty acids becomes very efficient
so that the body can begin conserving protein, thereafter catabolizing
only 1/2-1oz of muscle per day. The conservation of protein was
important for the protection of the organs and muscles when no food was
available; over 30 days a person will go through 1-2 lbs. of muscle
tissue.
Much like sleep, the body during a fast uses its energy to break down
and expel toxins, and to heal itself. As the fast continues, the body
will use-up everything it can that is not necessary for its
functioning, such as microbes, fibroid tumors, wastes, inflammation,
and stored fat of course. Generally, the body switches its fuel source
in the first 3 days, when the most dramatic effects, if any, are felt.
So fear not; the body is actually designed to do this--and can manage
very well for quite some time. Some of the diseases and conditions that
clinical studies have shown fasting helps either partially, or
permanently, are: hypertension, chronic cardiovascular disease, type II
diabetes, obesity, epilepsy, acute pancreatitis, osteo- and rhumatoid
arthritis, auto-immune diseases including lupus, severe toxic
contamination(7-10day fast), poor immune function, psycho-somatic
diseases, gout, bronchial athsma, allergies, MS, insomnia, and more.
There have been enough animal studies that suggest life-span
enhancement through fasting, and also individual case studies, not to
mention common sense. Cancer research is, of course, controversial with
fasting(as with most natural approaches), however there is data to
suggest it may help prevent cancer. Most people can safely fast, but
there are special cases when one should not fast. Always consult your
health professional for when considering fasting as to your goals, the
length and type of the fast, etc... Starving people obviously should
not, pregnant diabetic women, nursing mothers, those with anemia, those
with porphyria should not fast. There is also a rare genetic fatty-acid
deficiency which prevents the body's switching to ketosis.
Knowledge of fasting should be available to everyone as a natural and
safe (with some exceptions) healing and health maintenance technique. The
more you know about health and wellness, what good things with which to
fuel your body, the more sense it makes to take advantage of fasting to
cleanse and heal. Often the fear of it is no more than a bad habit not
wanting to lose his position of authority in the mind. Fast and be
healthy; fast and be free, too!
