Everyday it seems we hear something about the swine
flu. People are visiting emergency rooms
for every ache and sneeze due to fear of getting the swine flu. Is our fear grounded in fact? So far, the swine flu has not been any worse
than any other flu. Most people get the
usual flu symptoms for a few days and then they are fine. Some with compromised immune systems have
died, but that happens with every flu that comes around.
The swine flu, or any other flu, is not fun to go through,
but we don’t need to be afraid. Just try
the following preventative tips:
1.
Eat real food the way God made it.
2.
Eat saturated fat found in butter and coconut
oil daily.
3.
Make homemade chicken broth and drink some
daily.
4.
Take cod liver oil and vitamin C daily.
5.
Avoid refined sugar.
6.
Get plenty of rest.
7.
Wash your hands in soap and water.
Taking the above precautions may help prevent the flu or
make the symptoms less severe and they are much more reliable and much safer
than a vaccine or drug.

My co-author, Annette Presley, hails from Texas, and she is promoting the book in the Lone Star state. We were very excited to see this positive review just posted on Amazon.com. They just keep comin'....
A wonderfully entertaining, helpful and fascinating book!, March 28, 2009
This book is exactly what the world needs to hear! Thank you so much for getting the truth out about real nutrition and diet!
One thing I love about this book is that it is well written and not a typical diet book. The authors tell the history of many of the foods we eat today as well as explain things in a way that anybody can understand. It was an actual page turner and that is saying a lot about a diet book.
My entire family has been on the liberation diet and we are seeing big changes fast. Thank you Annette and Kevin for standing up for our rights to know the truth about food!

Having completed The Liberation Diet, I find myself still shaking my head in agreement with the highly entertaining writing of the authors. The book is well written and well researched. You will want to discuss the ideas expressed with your friends and your doctor. I really enjoyed this book!

Annette Presley RD LD NCSF-CPT, is a dietician, personal trainer and adjunct professor. Ms. Presley has a passion for helping people find their way to a healthy and fulfilling life. She spent 6 years working as a clinical dietician in the hospital setting where she witnessed the financial burden and quality of life issues faced by people suffering from chronic disease and obesity. Ms. Presley is committed to educating the public on nutrition and lifestyle choices to help people stay independent as they age. After an extensive review of current nutrition research, Ms. Presley has found that most of our national nutritional policies are based on false information and very poor data. She states, "In this country, we have developed obesity, heart disease, diabetes and other illnesses while consuming a diet that is low in fat and saturated fat and excessively high in carbohydrates. It should be obvious by now that the food guide pyramid and low fat diets aren't working. We need to return to the diet our ancestors ate before the invention of processed food." Ms. Presley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Science from the California State University of Los Angeles, is registered with the Commission of Dietic Registration, licensed in the state of Texas and is a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Council on Strength and Fitness.
