Message from Dr. Woody Jackson

As Executive Vice President of a medical consulting firm, 100 hour work weeks are more the rule than the exception. So when I decided two month ago to get serious about a fitness program that would become a routine part of my life, I came to a conclusion that initially seemed counterintuitive- find a nutritionally based fitness program offered by a seasoned trainer that would come to my office in the middle of my busy day. Kevin Brown, CEO of Visionary Trainers, had such a fitness program that could accommodate my needs.

At the time I began working with Visionary Trainers, I weighed nearly 250lbs, felt tired and mentally drained throughout most of the day. Kevin Brown met with me and designed a fitness program that included the following:

  • Advice on healthful meal portions of proteins, carbohydrates and dairy products;
  • Nutritional advice on vitamin and mineral supplements with high bioavailability;
  • A strength training regimen, and;
  • Routine aerobic exercises.

After 7 weeks of training with Visionary Trainers, following their healthful meal plan, and using recommended nutritional supplements from New Vision, I have lost approximately 16 lbs, gained muscle mass, and most importantly doubled my energy level. I now feel physically strong and mentally alert as I go through a typical 100 hour work week. The overall improvement in the quality of my physical and mental state has moved me to become part of the team at Visionary Trainers. As Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for Visionary Trainers I believe I can help other physicians understand and articulate the benefits of a balanced fitness approach to their patients. I look forward to providing medical oversight to Visionary Trainers and working within the medical community on a nutrition and fitness program that I know can make a difference.
